Frequently Asked Questions
What age are your meals suitable for?
Our meals are designed for babies from 6 months+, supporting both traditional weaning and baby-led weaning (BLW). The textures and ingredients suit different developmental stages:
✔ 6+ months – Soft, easy-to-mash textures for early food introduction.
✔ 9+ months – More variety in texture to encourage chewing and independent eating.
✔ 12+ months – Nutrient-dense, flavourful meals suitable for toddlers transitioning to family-style eating.
Every child develops at their own pace, so we recommend introducing meals based on your baby’s readiness and comfort with solids. If unsure, consult your paediatrician or healthcare professional for personalised guidance.
How can I adjust the texture of your meals?
Our meals have soft, fork-mashable textures, making them easy to adapt based on your baby’s stage and preferences. If you’d like a creamier consistency, you can:
✔ Mash with a fork for a smoother texture.
✔ Stir in greek yoghurt, breast milk, or puréed vegetables for a richer, creamier consistency.
Check our our "serving suggestions" under each meal for detailed recommendations for adjusting texture and perfect pairing options.

Do your meals contain allergens?
Some of our meals contain common allergens, including:
✔ Beef Bolognaise – Contains wheat (gluten)
✔ Shepherd’s Pie – Contains butter (milk)
✔ Salmon Risotto – Contains butter (milk)
✔ Spinach & Tofu Dhal – Contains tofu (soy)
We list full ingredients on our packaging and website so you can make informed choices. If your child has allergies, please check the ingredients before ordering.
Research suggests that early introduction of common allergens (such as dairy, soy, wheat, and eggs) may help reduce the risk of developing food allergies later in life. Our meals are designed to introduce a variety of ingredients and flavours in a safe and balanced way, supporting your child’s immune system and tolerance development.
If you have any concerns about introducing allergens, we recommend consulting your paediatrician or healthcare professional for personalised guidance.
How should I store SARI meals?
Our meals are freshly made and snap-frozen to lock in nutrients and flavour. Keep them frozen at -18°C until ready to use.
How do I prepare the meals?
Our meals are designed for quick and easy preparation:
All preparation instructions are included on the product label. We recommend using the microwave for quick and even heating:
- Microwave: Remove lid and heat for 1 minute. Stir and heat for another 30 seconds. Repeat in 30 second blocks until desired temperature is reached.
Always check the temperature before serving to ensure it’s safe for your little one.
Are your meals halal?
Yes - all SARI Baby meals that contain meat are made using halal-certified meats from trusted local suppliers.
Our kitchen itself isn’t formally halal-certified, but we only use halal-certified meat and ensure there’s no pork or non-halal meats present in our cooking.

This was great for baby-led weaning. My baby loves holding his food himself and this was good with steam veg sticks and steamed potato.
Fed bub early with Greek Chicken Meatballs and veggies so I could actually sit and eat pizza with my partner. Felt amazing.
The quality is unreal. I just heat, plate, and enjoy a quiet moment knowing she's nourished.
